Naksha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA)

On 15 August 2024, an anti-drug awareness programme was organized at C.V.M Higher Secondary School, Vandazhy, as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA). The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Chakingal Prasad, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The primary objective of the programme was to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote the importance of building a drug-free society.

During the session, it was explained that the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, has grown into one of the country’s largest anti-drug awareness campaigns. Through this initiative, more than 23.22 crore people, including 7.82 crore youth, 5.25 crore women, and 17.11 lakh educational institutions, have been reached through 7.39 lakh awareness activities supported by over 20,000 Master Volunteers.

The session focused on the increasing use of drugs among children and youth, the decline in the age of first-time drug use from 16–17 years to 13–14 years, and the growing concern over drug abuse and trafficking in Kerala. The programme also highlighted the importance of initiatives such as ORC (Our Responsibility to Children) and Vimukthi, while emphasizing the vital role of parents, teachers, and society in guiding children towards a healthy lifestyle through sports, arts, science, and other constructive activities.

Environment Day Celebration & Educational Support

Samaja Seva Sangham Social Service Society in kerala On the occasion of Environment Day, Samaja Seva Sangham organized a tree plantation drive to promote environmental conservation and raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature. As part of the initiative, saplings were planted to encourage a greener and healthier future. Alongside this, the organization distributed educational materials to underprivileged students, providing them with essential learning resources and motivating them to continue their education with confidence. This meaningful initiative reflected the organization’s commitment to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and the empowerment of young learners.

Onam Kit Distribution
